Till date, we have a few LYF branded smartphones from Reliance Retail that are already available in the market. Now a new entry-level smartphone called LFY Wind 6 is listed on an online store at a price of Rs. 6,999. This is the second smartphone from the LYF brand to be priced under Rs. 10,000; the LYF Flame 1 priced at Rs. 6,490 is the first entry-level device that was made available last week in the market.
From the design perspective, both the entry-level devices look exactly same and comes with the same polycarbonate body. While the Wind 6 features a 5-inch display, the Flame 1 has got only a smaller 4.5-inch display. Under the hood, the Wind 6 is powered by the 32-bit Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card support upto 32GB.
As seen with the earlier LYF smartphones, this device also offers 4G LTE along with VoLTE and VoWiFi. It has dual SIM dual standby support and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. There is a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus and the same 5MP sensor on the front but with only fixed focus. It is backed by a slightly larger 2,250mAh battery compared to the 2,000mAh battery on the Flame 1. According to the listing, the mentioned battery is said to give upto 8 hours of talk time.
It measures 143.5 x 72 x 8.7 mm and weighs 156 grams. While all the earlier announced devices are made available only through either Reliance Digital online stores or the retail stores, the LYF Wind 6 is sold through 3rd party online store. The listing also mentions the device to come 1+1 years of manufacturer warranty. Apart from the additional warranty, the buyers of LYF Wind 6 will also get an LYF Carry Bag and Rs.6,500 worth free Gift Vouchers.
