LYF is the smartphone brand from Reliance that will soon commercially launch the new mobile network services under a new brand called Jio. Since the Reliance Jio is expected to come with VoLTE and VoWiFi support, the company has unveiled a couple of mid-range devices that supports this two new technologies. Now a new device called as LYF Flame 1 is listed on the company’s website with a price tag of Rs. 6,490.
Unlike the earlier device, the Flame 1 comes with entry-level specifications, and it is also the most affordable smartphone with VoLTE support. The device features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display and is powered by a Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot supporting upto 32GB.
On the camera part, it has 5MP cameras on rear and front of the device; while on the rear we can also find the LED flash. It is backed by a battery of 2,000mAh capacity that is rated to deliver 8 hours of talk time and lasts upto 200 hours on standby. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoWiFi, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Flame 1 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and supports dual SIM dual standby.
The device measures 132.6 x 66.2 x 9.3 mm and weighs 138 grams. The earlier listed devices LYF Earth 1, Water 1, and Water 2 comes powered by Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. Apart from the display resolution, there are no other differences between the Water 1 and Water 2 smartphones. The Earth 1 comes with high-end specifications like 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP+2MP dual rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera.
All these devices run on Android Lollipop and supports 4G LTE along with VoLTE and VoWiFi. Though the devices are listed online, they aren’t yet available for sale. Stay tuned for more updates!
