Xiaomi has recently confirmed that it would be launching a smartphone with 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor in India and now few live images of the upcoming Redmi Note 8 smartphone have surfaced online. The device has been spotted in China and the companies General Manager, Lu Weibing has confirmed the name of the phone is Note 8 from his official Weibo account.
Redmi’s General Manager has further added that the device will be offering long battery life along with high screen-to-body ratio. He shared an image of the 64MP camera model which is being assembled and said that the handset has already entered mass production. From the image, we can see a triple camera arrangement that is aligned vertically on the center and the fourth camera sensor is placed next to them.
One of the images shows that there is a 64MP AI Super Camera text placed below the camera model and also has a glass back giving it a premium look. On the bottom, we can find a 3.5mm audio jack which has been moved from top to bottom from its predecessor. Besides the audio jack, we can find a USB Type-C charging port along with a speaker grill beside that. It should be coming out of the box, with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system which we should know in the coming days.
There is a slight bump on the back due to the cameras and the volume rockers are placed on the left of the handset. These images have surfaced online in China and as of now, there is no information on when the handset will be launched. More details about the same should be coming in the days to come and the handset also might feature an under-display fingerprint sensor. What are your views on this device?
