Xiaomi Note 6 Pro was launched in India a few months back with MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, now it has started receiving Android 9 Pie MIUI 10 Global Beta. Recently we have also seen this update was on Beta testing on few Redmi smartphones and now as per a post on MIUI forum, the MIUI 10 Global Beta has started rolling out for the Redmi Note 6 Pro along with security patch for the month of March.
The update comes with the version 9.3.11 and brings Android Pie flavor to this device. Just yesterday we have also seen a price drop on the Note 6 Pro in India and today we have the new update. This update is available only for beta testers and it could be rolled out to others in the coming weeks. The other devices like the Redmi Note 6, Redmi Y2, Redmi Note 5 Pro could also be updated soon.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.26-inch 2280 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ Display with a 2.5D curved glass display. Under the hood, there is a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm SoC coupled with 4GB / 6GB / 3GBof RAM and Adreno 509 GPU. There is a 4000mAh battery on the handset with fast charging support up to 10 W. The company has also provided a fingerprint sensor on the rear to enhance the security levels.
The handset sports a 12MP main camera sensor on the rear with dual-tone LED flash and f/1.9 aperture size along with Dual PD focus and EIS, coupled with a 5MP secondary camera. On the front, there is a 20MP camera with Sony IMX376 sensor with F/2.0 aperture size supported with a secondary 2MP camera. Are you a beta tester? Have you received the update?
