Earlier this week, Redmi debuted the flagship smartphone segment by launching the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones. Both these smartphones come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Now, the 12GB RAM variant of Redmi K20 Pro is spotted on TENAA. As of now, there is no official announcement from the company about its availability. Currently, the Redmi K20 Pro is only available in 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 64GB storage variants.
As per the rumors, the company might launch a special edition device with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in the coming weeks. The 8GB RAM variant with 256GB of internal storage is retailing for CNY 2999 (approx USD 435 / INR 30,000). We expect the Redmi K20 Pro with 12GB RAM to cost around CNY 3500 (approx USD 500 / INR 35,000). Aside from the bump in RAM, the rest of the specifications will remain the same as on other variants.
It comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device features the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. On the rear, the device sports triple camera setup featuring 48MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.75 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
The pop-up camera on the top is equipped with a 20MP sensor and is protected with a sapphire lens. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 27W fast charging via USB Type-C port. The Redmi K20 Pro is the first Redmi-branded smartphone to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and NFC support. Xiaomi might launch the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones as Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro in the global markets. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
