A couple of weeks back, Realme made its debut in China by launching the Realme X and Realme X Lite smartphones. While the Realme X Lite is the same Realme 3 Pro that was launched in India, the Realme X is a completely new device. Today, the company has officially confirmed to launch the Realme X in the Indian market. While the device will be available starting June 1st in China, it is mentioned to launch only in the second half of this year in India.
As seen on the Realme 3 Pro, the Realme X also comes powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. On the front, it sports a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Just like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Realme X also comes with a notch-less display and pop-up selfie camera. In China, the device comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
It is also the first Realme smartphone to use the in-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of optics, the new OnePlus 7 and Realme X share the same sensors on the front and rear. On the rear, it sports 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP pop-up camera on the top with f/2.0 aperture and Sapphire glass protection. It is backed by a 3,765mAh non-removable battery and also supports 5V/4A (20W) VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology.
The company also launched the Realme X Naoto Fukasawa collection in Onion and White Garlic finish. In India, the company might introduce new variants as well. The base variant of the Realme X is retailing for CNY 1499 (approx USD 217 / INR 15,150) in China. The same device will reportedly launch at around Rs 18,000 in India.
