With the launch ahead in less than six weeks in India, the Redmi K20 Pro now gets a new MIUI 10 update roll out that brings the Face Unlock feature to the flagship specced K20 Pro smartphone. Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has unveiled the two flagship specced smartphones – the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro in China. These phones are said to be coming to India, which is now being branded as flagship killers 2.0 to take against OnePlus 7 Series in the country.
According to a new report emerged today, the Redmi K20 Pro has received a new MIUI 10 update bearing MIUI V10.3.8.0 PFACNXM version number which has brought the much-anticipated face unlock feature alongside the customizable lock screen feature as well. The update size is said to be about 329MB and is currently being rolled out in China, where the phones were initially launched last month.
The changelog of the new update received on the Redmi K20 Pro reveals notable new features that include the anticipated Face Unlock feature, three new customizable lock screen styles, that said, the new lock screen is said to be not supporting the third party themes anymore. Further, there’s a minor update to Wi-Fi listings, which are said to be organized and shown according to signal strength with the new MIUI 10 update.
To recall, the Redmi K20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is shipped with Andoird Pie-based MIUI 10. Under the hood, the flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC powers the phone, which is paired with Adreno 640 GPU. As for storage. It comes with 6/8GB RAM and 64,128 and 256GB storage variants. The optics featured on the Redmi K20 pro include triple rear cameras (48MP+8MP+13MP), and on the front, the device has 20MP motorized pop-up selfie camera.
