Redmi Go 16GB Storage Variant Could be Launched Soon in India

Redmi India has announced that it is going to launch the Redmi Go smartphone with a bigger storage option. Initially, the device was launched with 8GB of onboard storage in India and now we can expect a 16GB variant also. The device was globally launched with 8GB as well as 16GB storage option but in India, we have seen just the 8GB variant until now. Although the pricing and the exact availability date of it have not been mentioned yet, the latest teaser shows us the coming soon tag.

In India, the Redmi Go smartphone was launched in the month of March, 2019 for Rs. 4,499 for the 1GB RAM and 8GB storage variant. Although there is a microSD card slot on the device, it should be used as internal storage to install applications on it. Well, talking about the smartphone, to remind you the device sports a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixels display with 16:9 aspect ratio. It measures 140.4 x 70.1. x 8.32 mm in size while it weighs 137 grams.
Being an Android Go device, it came out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and It is also a dual SIM variant. Furthermore, the handset will be powered with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset coupled with 1GB or 2GB of RAM and Adreno 308 GPU. On the rear, the Redmi Go smartphone comes with an 8MP main camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture size along with an LED flash while on the front we can find a 5MP selfie sensor.
There is a 3000mAh battery on the device without the support for any fast charging technology since it is a budget-friendly entry-level smartphone. It has the connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and more. There is no fingerprint sensor nor any kind of display notch on the handset.
