Realme Teases 64MP Quad Camera Smartphone, to Launch Soon in India

Halfway through this year, we have many smartphones including premium flagships and mid-range devices from several OEMs featuring the 48MP primary rear camera sensor in addition to telephoto, wide-angle, and depth sensors. If you believe 48MP sensor itself is overkill on a smartphone, then let this sink in — Realme had showcased its first 64MP photo sample shot on its upcoming new Realme smartphone.

Realme’s CEO, Madhav Seth, has teased the company’s new smartphone introducing it as the world’s first phone to have a 64MP GW1 sensor and has teased the 64MP photo shot as well. The lens is said to be the largest in the industry equipped with 1/1.72″ sensor and mega 1.6um pixel that is also claimed to take clear shots even in the low lighting conditions as well. The CEO has further confirmed that this new realme smartphone, which acclaims to be a camera beast, will be launching in the country before the competition.

The sample photo suggests us that it is clicked on a 64MP sensor and further confirms the new realme phone would be coming with Quad Rear cameras that are AI-powered as well. Samsung has unveiled the 64MP ultra-high resolution image sensor early this year that was equipped with Tetra cell and 3D HDR technology. Named as ISOCELL Bright GW1 it comes with the aforementioned features, which we believe might be the same sensor that’s being utilized in this teased upcoming Realme smartphone, nevertheless the teaser hasn’t revealed that information yet.

The CEO has mentioned that the company is still working on this new 64MP Realme smartphone, and further stated it would be a premium killer as well.
