Last month, Xiaomi’s new sub-brand POCO launched its first smartphone called POCO F1 in the Indian market. The device came with Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6 out of the box. During the product unveiling, the company has confirmed to roll-out the MIUI 10 update by the end of October and the new Android 9.0 Pie update by the end of this year. Now, the POCO F1 running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie is spotted on Geekbench.

With the Geekbench listing, we can at least expect the company to soon release the Android 9.0 Pie beta update. As of now, there is no official word about the Android 9.0 Pie beta update. Though the device runs on MIUI, it is specially customized for the POCO phone. Here you will get an app drawer by default and also the stock Android like notifications with the Android 9.0 Pie update. The POCO Launcher is also listed on Playstore and it only works on other Xiaomi smartphones.

The company recently started selling the POCO F1 with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage on an open sale. While the POC F1 with its insane price tag has been the hot-selling device, the company still have address quite a few issues. While the device can’t stream Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in HD, it’s not a big deal in the markets like India. However, the screen bleeding is certainly a big quality control issue and the company is yet to respond over this.
