Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 is a new device that has been launched in India for Rs. 9,999. The handset will be included to the company Eluga series and is available for purchase via online and offline stores across the country. The device comes in a Gold color option and there is a fingerprint sensor on the rear which is placed just below the camera and LED flash. This smartphone does not feature any notched display instead it has a thick forehead and chin although we can see minimal bezels on the sides.

The Eluga Ray 800 from Panasonic comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla 3 on top. Under the hood, we can find an Octa-core Unison Soc with 1.8GHz clocking speeds coupled with 4GB of RAM and ARM Mali-T820 MP2 GPU. The company has provided 64GB of onboard storage which can be extended further up to a maximum of 128GB via microSD card slot.

The device will come out of the box, with almost outdated Android 7 Nougat operating system. This dual SIM variant supports 4G VoLTE connectivity and has other connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS. There is a 4000mAh battery on the device and lacks any fast charging support. There is the company’s own AI assistant called Arbo Hub which adapts to users specific needs, interests and provides information based on it.

On the rear, there is a single 13MP camera sensor with LED flash while on the front the company has provided an 8MP camera with LED flash. Well, with so many budget-friendly devices or mid-range devices coming to the market with similar pricing are launched with features like notched display, latest Android 9 Pie, dual rear cameras and more, the Eluga Ray 800 laking all these might find it difficult to compete in the market.
