OPPO Reno Smartphone Running ColorOS 6 to Launch on April 10th
Earlier this month, OPPO has teased about its new smartphone line up called Reno. The first smartphone under the Reno series will be called as OPPO Reno. While the company earlier confirmed to launch Reno in April, today it revealed the exact launch date. The OPPO Reno will be officially unveiled on April 10th in China. It will also be the first smartphone in the world to come with 10x lossless zoom.
Also, the company revealed its new logo with the teaser image of Reno. The font used in the new logo is now rounded and there is no gap in the letter P. Talking about the Reno smartphone, it will use the recently unveiled 10x lossless zoom technology. To achieve this, the telephoto sensor on the rear of the smartphone will be equipped with a periscope style lens. Also, the device is confirmed to run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with ColorOS 6 skin on top.
Initially, the OPPO Reno will be launched in four color options – Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder, Polar Night Black and Nebula Purple (translated from Chinese). Under the hood, the device might come powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. However, the Bluetooth certification website mentioned the device to sport 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7nm Mobile Platform.
It will be backed by a 4065mAh non-removable battery and supports SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology for fast charging. On the front, we will be looking at a 6.4-inch display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Take these details with a pinch of salt and wait for the official launch of the device. However, we might also see leaks from trusted sources in the coming weeks. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
