Last month, OPPO introduced the new OPPO Reno series by launching three new smartphones – OPPO Reno, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, & OPPO Reno 5G. Now, the company is preparing to launch a fourth smartphone called OPPO Reno Lite. It is now spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA with the model number PCDM10. While the earlier launched OPPO Reno smartphones came with shark fin pop-up camera, the upcoming OPPO Reno Lite sports waterdrop notch.
On the high-end Reno smartphones, even the LED flash for the rear cameras is placed on the back of the pop-up slider. While the rear of the device looks similar to the OPPO Reno smartphone, the LED flash is now placed below the dual camera setup. It comes with a 3D curved glossy finish body and sports 2.5D glass on the front. Talking about the specifications, the OPPO Reno Lite features 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, it comes powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. As per the TENAA listing, the device will be available only in one storage option – 6GB + 128GB. It also lacks the MicroSD card for further expansion of storage. Coming to the camera department, the OPPO Reno Lite sports 48MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 32MP single selfie camera on the front. We expect the company to use the same 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor as offered with the other Reno smartphones.
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with ColorOS 6.0 skin laid on the top. As seen on the other Reno smartphones, the Reno Lite also comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 3,950mAh non-removable battery which is bigger than the 3,765mAh battery on the OPPO Reno smartphone. We also expect the Reno Lite to support VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology for fast charging. The device measures 157.3 × 74.9 × 9.1 mm and weighs 186 grams.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. While the power button is placed on the right edge, the volume rockers can be seen on the left edge. It will be available in White, Purple, Red, and Black color options. The company will be launching the Reno Lite smartphone in the Chinese market in the coming weeks. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
