OPPO R9 and R9 Plus with 16MP Camera to Launch in India on April 5th

OPPO has sent out the invites for the launch of a new selfie phone on April 5th in India. The company is teasing the launch of a new device that features a fingerprint sensor and thin narrow bezels. A couple of weeks, the company has launched the OPPO R9 and OPPO R9 Plus smartphones in China. Both these devices sports the same specifications that are being teased by the company in India.
Both these devices come with some amazing cameras, the OPPO R9 sports a 13MP rear camera and a 1MP selfie camera while the R9 Plus includes with 16MP cameras on both front and back of the device. The OPPO R9 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor. On the other hand, the R9 Plus comes with a 6-inch display and includes Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor.

Both the devices come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto another 128GB. They run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 3.0 overlaid. It also sports a fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button on the front of the devices. The devices also support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE with VoLTE. The R9 is backed by a 2,850mAh battery while the 6-inch R9 Plus has a 4,120mAh battery.

The devices will be launched only in Gold and Rose Gold colors. In China, the R9 is priced at 2799 Yuan (approx $430 / Rs. 28,750) and the R9 Plus costs 3299 Yuan (approx $507/ Rs. 33,900). As of now, there is no information about the Indian pricing.
