OPPO R15X has been in the leaks from earlier this month. Today, the company has officially launched the device in China. It is currently available to pre-order and shipping will begin from November 1st. As leaks suggested, the OPPO R15X looks exactly same as the recently launched OPPO K1. Both the devices also share similar specifications. While the OPPO K1 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage costs CNY 1799, the new OPPO R15X with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at 2499 Yuan.
The device comes in Blue and Purple color options with gradient finish. It comes with 6.4-inch waterdrop display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The smaller notch increases the screen-to-body ratio upto 91% on this device. While the OPPO K1 came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform, the processor of the OPPO R15X is not mentioned in the official listing. With the higher price tag, we expect the device to pack the recent Snapdragon 670 or 710 Mobile Platform.
It comes with a 3D curved glossy finish body with a 2.5D glass on the front. The device also sports in-display fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock. Talking about the cameras, the OPPO R15X sports 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras and a 25MP single front camera. The company is also offering AI features like auto scene detection and portrait mode. The device runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS 5.2 skin on the top. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar to know more details about the upcoming OPPO smartphones!
