OPPO Launches Reno Z with 6.4″ Notch Display & Snapdragon 710 SoC in Europe

Earlier this year, OPPO launched the OPPO Reno, Reno 10x Zoom, and Reno 5G smartphones in Europe. Now, the company launches the mid-range Reno Z smartphone for EUR 190 (approx USD 215 / INR 15,000). Unlike the other Reno smartphones, the Reno Z comes with notch display on the front. The device will be available in Ocean Green and Jet Black color options. On the design, the device comes with a gradient color body with curved edges. The long vertical strip on the rear includes the logo, tagline, LED flash, and O-Dot ceramic point.

Since there is no camera bump, the protruding O-Dot ceramic point will protect the lens when placed flat on any surface. Talking about the specifications, the OPPO Reno Z sports 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU. The device comes packed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Also, there is no MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage on this device.

It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with ColorOS 6.0 skin laid on the top. In the camera department, the OPPO Reno Z sports dual camera setup on the rear featuring 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. The waterdrop notch on the front holds the 32MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 3,950mAh non-removable battery and supports 20W (5V/4A) VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology. As seen on the other Reno smartphones, the Reno Z also comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It measures 157.3 × 74.9 × 9.1 mm and weighs 186 grams.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. While the power button is placed on the right edge, the volume rockers can be seen on the left edge. It will go on sale starting next month in Europe. As of now, there is no news about the availability of the device in other markets. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
