OPPO F5 Youth with 16MP Selfie Camera Goes on Sale Starting Today for Rs. 16,990

Last month, OPPO launched the OPPO F5 smartphone with 20MP selfie camera and 4GB RAM in India for Rs. 19,990. During the OPPO F5 launch, the company also announced the OPPO F5 6GB and F5 youth smartphones. The OPPO F5 6GB was launched last week for Rs. 24,990. Compared to the F5, the F5 6GB came with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Now, the company has confirmed to launch the OPPO F5 Youth in the Indian market on December 8th.

Unlike the OPPO F5 6GB, the F5 Youth comes with slightly different specifications. However, the design of the device remains same with the metal body. The company has already launched the OPPO F5 Youth in the Philippines. On the front is the 6-inch FullView LTPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 16nm MediaTek MT6763T octa-core processor coupled with Mali G71 GPU.

The F5 Youth packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card. In terms of optics, the OPPO F5 Youth offers a 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a 16MP selfie camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. As seen with the 20MP selfie camera on the OPPO F5 and F5 6GB, the 16MP selfie shooter on the F5 Youth also comes equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for capturing better selfies.

It is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery and supports dual SIM dual standby. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The OPPO F5 Youth measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5 mm and weighs 152 grams. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.2 out of the box. It will be available in Black and Gold color options and is expected to cost Rs. 16,990.

The OPPO F5 is now launched in India and as expected, it comes with a price tag of Rs. 16,990. The device can be purchased starting today from online and offline stores across the country. It will be available in Black and Gold colors. On the other hand, the OPPO F5 and F5 6GB are retailing for Rs. 19,990 and 24,990 respectively. As of now, the company hasn’t announced any inaugural launch offers for the OPPO F5 Youth. The Face Unlock feature available on the OPPO F5 and F5 6GB smartphones is also included on the OPPO F5 Youth.
