The fastest growing Chinese smartphone brand, OPPO launched the selfie focused smartphone OPPO F1s here in India in the early August. Earlier to this, the company also launched the OPPO F1 and F1 Plus smartphones. All the devices came with metal body and high-end specifications. Today, the company launched the OPPO F1s Diwali Limited Edition smartphone on the eve of upcoming Diwali festival. There are no upgrades in terms of specifications between the regular F1s and this limited edition. But on the rear of the device, we can find the signatures of the OPPO’s brand ambassadors Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor.
It is priced at Rs. 17,990 and will be available in limited quantity for pre-orders starting from October 8th. The sales start from October 14th through Snapdeal and OPPO stores across the country. There is also a Special 18k Gold Edition of the OPPO F1s that will be on auction from October 12th to 14th where the money will go to Charity. While the Android 7.0 Nougat is released, the new OPPO F1s limited edition smartphone still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based ColorOS 3.0. It sports a 5.5-inch HD resolution IPS display and 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor.
The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and comes with applied screen protector. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with MicroSD card slot. As seen on OPPO F1s and F1 Plus, this limited edition device also packs 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 16MP front camera. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE and VoLTE. The device is kept powered on by a 3075mAh battery along with VOOC Flash Charge support. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The OPPO F1S Diwali Limited Edition device will be available in both Gold and Grey color options.
The limited edition OPPO F1s measures 154.4 x 76 x 7.38 mm and weighs 160 grams. A couple of months back, OPPO also launched the OPPO A37 smartphone with 4G VoLTE support priced at Rs. 11,990. It came with 2.5D 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device came with 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB. In the camera department, the OPPO A37 came with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
While the rear camera comes with LED flash, the selfie camera on the front supports screen flash that brightens the display to maximum brightness. The recent report from GFK places the OPPO in the second position ahead of Apple in terms of the August’s market share value. Samsung leads the list with 46.9% market share value, while OPPO and Apple are placed second and third with 8% & 6.3% respectively. However, Apple will soon occupy its second position once the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are made available here in India. The new iPhones are already available for pre-orders while the sales start from October 7th in India.
