OPPO F1 with Snapdragon 616 & 8MP Selfie Camera Launched in Vietnam

OPPO F1, the first smartphone under the new F-series is expected to launch in India on January 28th. Though the device is coming to India, the company has launched the device in Vietnam. Though we expected the OPPO A53 that was earlier launched in China to be relaunched as OPPO F1, indeed the company came with same design there are few differences in the specifications part.
It sports a 2.5D 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display while the A53 came with a slightly larger 5.5-inch display, it comes protected by a Gorilla Glass 4 that prevents the display from scratches and drops. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. It has a 3GB of RAM while the OPPO A53 is limited to 2GB.
There is 16GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via provided MicroSD card slot. On the camera, it has a the same 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, but the front camera is bumped up from 5MP to 8MP that captures even better selfies. The device has iPhone retina flash feature that brightness the display to capture selfies even in the low light conditions.
The OPPO F1 on the Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 2.1 overlaid. It is backed by a smaller 2,500mAh battery compared to the 3,075mAh battery on the OPPO A53 and the device also comes with OPPO’s VOCC fast charging support. The device offers dual SIM dual standby and comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
The Aluminum build device measures 143.5 x 71 x 7.25 mm and feels light by weighing 134 grams. It is currently available for pre-orders for a price of VND 6,490,000 (approx $290 / Rs. 19,500) while the shipping starts from January 21st.
