As announced earlier, OPPO will be launching their upcoming selfie smartphone OPPO F1 Plus today in India. The device comes packed with high-end specifications and will be priced at Rs. 26,990. The device was first announced at the launch event of OPPO F1 held in January. At that time, the company announced to bring the 1080p display smartphone with 4GB RAM.
With the recently teased images, we can confirm the OPPO R9 that was recently launched in China will be renamed as OPPO F1 Plus in India and Indonesia. The device comes with a metallic body and also features an oval shaped physical home button. It comes embedded with a fingerprint sensor for making the device more secure.
It sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTel Helio P10 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T860 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto another 128GB. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the latest ColorOS 3.0 laid on top.
Talking about the camera, it comes with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF for fast focusing, and a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 on the front. The OPPO F1 Plus will be best selfie device available in the Indian market. It is backed by a 2,850mAh battery with VOOC fast charging feature. It measures just 6.6 mm thickness and also feels light by weighing 145 grams.
The device will be costlier than the Xiaomi Mi 5 that was launched in India at a price if Rs. 24,999. Though it comes with much superior specs, the availability of Xiaomi device is a bigger issue. On the other side, OPPO devices are available across the country via online and offline stores. The device will be officially launched at the event that will be held in New Delhi, India. We may see one or two change of specs in the final product, but the design of OPPO F1 Plus will be similar to the OPPO R9. Stay tuned for more updates!
