After Apple, OPPO, Xiaomi, and Samsung smartphone blasts; now OnePlus’s first ever smartphone OnePlus One is reported to be burnt and busted. Recently we have seen Galaxy Note 7 exploded while charging with MicroUSB to USB Type-C adapter. But from the images posted by the OnePlus One user on Twitter, the device was charging using the OnePlus provided MicroUSB cable. In just two hours after the device is plugged into the power outlet, the user said to see the flames coming out of the device.

The device is now handed over to the OnePlus service centre, and they promised to replace the device. While this whole incident happened on August 22nd, the user said that there is not even a single reply from the company after that. Here is the video that shows the aftermath of the OnePlus smartphone explosion.

We have been in touch with this OnePlus One phone user i.e. Deepak who had shared the links to the video where it showed the aftermath that also clearly showed the OnePlus’s USB Cable. We are not 100% sure what could be the problem here because the phone is already out of warranty, could be under a case and probably the room temperature could add to this. We have just received an official statement from OnePlus India regarding that has been shared below.

“Our top priority is the health and safety of our customers. We are confident in the quality of our products, which all undergo industry-leading safety tests. We are already in touch with this customer, but since this is an open case, we cannot disclose any further information.”

Here are the similar incidents happened with other smartphone brands:
