OnePlus has a successful launch of its new OnePlus 7 Series this month. Wherein, the flagship OnePlus 7 Pro has been well received globally. Well, the new 7 series is not just about the flagship OnePlus 7 Pro, but there’s another OnePlus 7, which is indeed a pretty good smartphone for its aggressive pricing and the almost similar specifications, which are identical to the flagship model. While the OnePlus 7 Pro is already available for sale in India, the regular OnePlus 7 will be available from June 4th.
Adding to the current OnePlus 7 line-up, the company today had unveiled its new OnePlus 7 Red variant. The successor of the OnePlus 6T will also be available from June 4h as well, and the device is said to be featuring only the 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage variant. OnePlus has a history of launching Red variants of its flagship models since the OnePlus 5T model. While the OnePlus 7 Pro is available in sleek new colors that include the gradient finished Nebula Blue and the goldfish Almond color alongside the regular Mirror Gray, the regular OnePlus 7 settles for the Mirror Gray variant. Henceforth, the new Red variant for the OnePlus 7 is an added advantage for the OnePlus.
As for the specifications is concerned, to recall, there aren’t any pop-up cameras, 90Hz displays or triple rear cameras, but you get the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC, a 6.41-inch AMOLED display, a 48MP Sony IMX 586 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture paired with a 5MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the OnePlus 7 features a decent 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The OP 7 is further powered by a 3700mAh battery with OnePlus Fast Charging (5V 4A) support as well. The OnePlus 7 further runs on Android 9.0 Pie based OxygenOS out-of-the-box.
As the OnePlus 7 is a highly aggressively priced variant when compared to the flagship OnePlus 7 Pro and the earlier released OnePlus 6T, the addition of this new Red variant might be appealing to the audience in India. As for the pricing, the OnePlus 7 Red is priced at Rs 37,999 for 8GB RAM+256GB variant. The phone is said to be available from 4th of next month along with with the regular OnePlus 7 Mirror Gray variant.
