It is quite evident that Chinese manufacturer OnePlus is geared up to release its special edition OnePlus 6T in a few more days, December 11th, to be precise. The company has collaborated with supercar manufacturer McLaren to launch its special edition 6T, which is supposedly – the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.
OnePlus has already rolled out invites and has been teasing across social media platforms with a ‘Salute to Speed’ tag for its upcoming McLaren Edition 6T. So, what does this tag ‘Salute to Speed’ mean? What’s so special about the special edition? What has OnePlus tend to offer with its new OnePlus 6T special edition? Besides, the current device is already known to be fast enough and is also being considered as the fastest Android device in the market to date.
While these are some of our thoughts and speculations of the upcoming 6T, OnePlus has rolled out a new teaser on its Twitter handle showcasing a new charging technology, which is expected to be named as Warp Charge or Warp Speed. Well, this appears to be an apt timing to release the teaser based on new charging tech, because OPPO (which has the same parent company as shared by OnePlus), has recently launched its OPPO R17 Pro with Super VOOC charge technology. With the Super VOOC charging, the R17 Pro gets a 40% charge in 10min, and a 100% charge in 40min.
It is already known that OPPO and OnePlus has a history of sharing design aesthetics for their devices, henceforth the upcoming OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition might also come with similar quick share or Warp Charge, whatever the name might be, it is expected to be identical to OPPO’s Super VOOC flash charge technology. Since the current Dash Charge on the OnePlus devices is one of the best in the industry, it appears to be interesting as what this new quick charge technology has to offer.
As for the launch is concerned, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is slated to launch on December 11th at McLaren Technology Centre, Woking and the Indian released is scheduled for December 12th in Mumbai. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more updates!
