The online exclusive smartphone brand, OnePlus has launched the all new OnePlus 3T smartphone. It is an upgraded variant of the popular OnePlus 3 smartphone. There are no external changes to the device, except the new GunMetal color option which replaces the Graphite color. Though there are rumors that the company will be opting for an LCD panel instead of AMOLED panel, as reported earlier, OnePlus sticks with their Optic AMOLED panel display. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. As announced earlier, the device will be powered by the 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 processor. It packs 6GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options.
The 3,000mAh battery is replaced with a slightly bigger 3,400mAh battery. The “Dash Charge” fast charging technology remains unchanged. While the 16MP rear camera remains unchanged, OnePlus has bumped up the front camera from 8MP to 16MP resolution. This new front camera comes with PDAF instead of fixed focus and record videos at 1080p resolution. Rest of the specifications including the Dash Charge remains same on both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. While the technical aspects of the device are now sorted out, let’s talk about the pricing and availability. Currently, the OnePlus 3 is retailing at $399 in the U.S and Rs. 27,999 and 2499 Yuan in India and China respectively.
