OnePlus 3 Smartphone gets Android 7.0 Nougat update through CyanogenMod 14 ROM

Google rolled out the new Android version i.e. 7.0 Nougat to the eligible Nexus devices a couple of weeks back. The new version is only available for these eligible Nexus devices as of now. However, it is not stopping developers to come up with different builds based on this new ROM. According to new reports, one of the first devices to receive the Nougat update is none other than OnePlus 3.
While OnePlus is busy merging their Hydrogen OS & Oxygen OS software division internally, we already a build of the ROM. The source for this ROM is also a reliable one. Yes, according to the source, this version of Nougat comes from an unofficial CyanogenMod 14 build for the OnePlus 3. Since it is still in early stages of development, there are a lot of bugs in the software and it can take some work. There are a variety of different issues like thermal throttling, poor battery life, etc.
But on the brighter side, all the other features like the multi-window, new quick settings panel etc. will work just fine and you can try all these new features without having to wait for the developer to roll out the update officially, which can take some time or maybe a lot of time. So it is recommended that if you are willing to put up with all these bugs and still want to try out the new features, then go ahead and install this ROM.
It is definitely recommended that you create a backup of the existing ROM before proceeding with the new update since you might want to make a jump to the previous ROM which will be more stable. You can download the ROM and proceed with the installation. Once done, you will be one of the first users to enjoy the latest build of the software. Let us know if you installed the software and if you liked it. Stay tuned for more such info.
