OKWU has launched it Pi smartphone for a price of Rs. 5,999 in India along with its U-Tag which is priced at Rs. 990. Well, wondering what a U-Tag is? It is a Bluetooth tag that is connected to the user’s belongings and devices so that the user does not lose them. This new start-up has launched both these devices, and it is also one of the pioneer brands to augment loT technology in mobile phones.

OKWU Pi is an affordable handset that comes with a screen size of 5-inch with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek 6735 Quad-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.2 GHz with 1GB RAM. The handset flaunts its body with a metal finish and also has a Fingerprint Sensor that can enhance the security levels of the device and moreover it can detect up to 10 fingers which make it easier to use.

The handset is a dual SIM variant and supports 4G VoLTE connectivity on them. There is a 2000 mAh non-removable battery on the back and comes with an onboard memory of 8GB which can be extended up to 32GB via MicroSD card. U-Tag is a Bluetooth tag that will be connecting the devices by tagging on them, and the device will locate these using a buzzer which is in close range and also give alerts on the phone if the tagged device is moving beyond the prescribed distance from the smartphone.
