Last year, Nubia launched the flagship Nubia X smartphone with dual displays. It then came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. At the MWC Shanghai, the company launched the Nubia X 5G powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and also sports the Snapdragon X50 modem. While the company hasn’t revealed the full specifications, we expect the 5G and 4G variants to share same specifications apart from the chipset.

The device came with a curved glass body featuring the secondary display beneath it. It also equipped two fingerprint scanners which are placed on the either sides of the frame. The Nubia X launched last year came with a 6.26-inch In-cell display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution. On the rear, it sports a 5.1-inch AMOLED display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front and rear.

It offered up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. While the 4G variant came with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Nubia UI 6.0 out of the box, we expect the 5G variant to run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. While there is no selfie camera on this device, the users can use the dual rear cameras along with the secondary display to capture selfies. There is a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 24MP secondary camera with f/1.7 aperture.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C. There is no 3.5mm audio jack for connecting the standard earphones and headphones. It is backed by a 3,800mAh non-removable battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The Nubia X measures154.1 × 73.30 × 8.4 mm and weighs 181 grams. As of now, the company hasn’t announced pricing or the availability details of the Nubia X 5G. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
