Nubia has been teasing its upcoming Red Magic 3 smartphone from the last couple of months. While the company already confirmed key specifications of the device, the leaks also revealed the Antutu score and a few other details. Today, it has officially confirmed to launch the Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone on April 28th in Beijing, China. Interestingly, the company also choose the RNG Stadium which is the base for the popular Chinese esports club Royal Never Give Up. Nubia also hinted to launch Red Magic 3 in the Indian market but it will only happen a couple of weeks after the China launch.
The leaked screenshot revealed the device’s Antutu score as 437524, highest we have ever seen on a smartphone. It will come powered by the flagship 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform which includes the powerful Kryo 485 CPU and latest Adreno 640 GPU. The device will be offering up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The 3C listing of the Red Magic 3 also confirmed it to come with 30W fast charging support. While there is no confirmation, we expect it to sport 5,000mAh battery for playing longer gaming sessions.
The Red Magic 3 will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. While the Chinese variant comes with custom UI, the international variant offers stock UI. With the built-in gaming mode, the users can further enhance the performance of the device. As seen with the previously launched Red Magic smartphones, the upcoming Red Magic 3 could also feature a large RGB LED strip on the rear. Also, we expect the company to launch gaming-centric accessories alongside the Red Magic 3 smartphone. It will be competing with the newly launched Black Shark 2 and the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 2.
