At the MWC 2019, HMD Global unveiled a bunch of phones including the Nokia 9, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 4.2. Though Nokia 9 is powered by the last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, the company made it special with the Penta camera setup on the rear. Now, the leaks suggest the company to launch a new smartphone with yet another innovative feature. The upcoming Nokia 8.1 Plus might come with a punch-hole camera as seen on the Honor View 20 and Galaxy S10 smartphones.
Nokia 8.1 Plus can be the successor to popular Nokia 8 which came with Snapdragon 835 SoC. Recently, the company launched the Nokia 8.1 with mid-range specifications as the successor to the popular Nokia 7 Plus. As of now, we have no idea about the specifications of the Nokia 8.1 Plus smartphone. From the leaked image, we can confirm that the device sports dual camera setup on the rear along with a circular fingerprint scanner.
While the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge, the SIM card can be seen on the left edge. We also spot the 3.5mm audio jack on the top and USB Type-C port on the bottom edge. Just like the other Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 8.1 Plus will be launched as Android One device running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
