Well, Nokia is reluctant to reveal any details of its upcoming Nokia 8.1 Smartphone but the handset has been spotted on Google’s ARCore supported devices list. A recent listing of Geekbench suggests an upcoming Nokia phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Chipset with 4GB of RAM and another report also suggested that Nokia X7 will be debuting as Nokia 8.1 which is also expected to come out of the box with the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS.
There are a total of three smartphones that are rumored which are expected to be Nokia 9, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 7.1. Nokia 8.1 is expected to be the global variant of the Nokia X7 and the devices have been spotted recently on Geekbench and NCC filing in Taiwan, Now the handset has been listed on Google’s ARCore, which confirms that the device will be supporting Augmented reality.
Although the ARCore listing doesn’t reveal much about the smartphone we are expected to see the device becoming official Globally soon. HMD Global does not have many devices that support AR except for the devices like the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8, Nokia 8 Sirocco. The Nokia X7 was launched in China last month and it was supposed to be launched in the global market as the Nokia 7.1 Plus which was later changed.
Nokia 8.1 won’t be a premium smartphone like the Nokia 8 or the Nokia 8 Sirocco as per its specs sheet as all the flagship devices are powered with the Snapdragon 845 chipset but this one is said to be sporting Snapdragon 710 processor.
