Nokia 3 Android Smartphone to Feature 5.2″ Display & Snapdragon 425 SoC

Just yesterday, we got to know about the three new Nokia phones that will be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress that will be held in Barcelona from February 27th to March 2nd. The Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 smartphones along with Nokia 6 will be launched on a global stage. Though the company is also said to relaunch the popular Nokia 3310 with few upgrades, but it will still be a feature phone. The Nokia 6 is already launched in China and packs decent mid-range hardware. Today, we got to know few details about the Nokia 3 smartphone which will also be the cheaper among the three devices. Just like other devices, it will also run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. While the Chinese UI lacks the app drawer, we expect the international version to look similar to the stock Android.

The Nokia 3 will be coming with a 5.2-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution which is good enough for normal usage.  Under the hood, the device will be powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. The device also packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. We also expect the company to offer a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. In the camera department, the Nokia 3 will be sporting a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The device will be costing €149 (approx $158 / Rs. 10,500) in Europe and might also launch in other markets as well.

The basic connectivity options expected to be offered on this device are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and 3.5mm Audio port. From the above image, we can the device having three capacitive buttons, and there is no fingerprint sensor on this device. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the device. With the Antenna band markings on top and bottom edges, we expect this device also sport metal built body. From the rear, it looks similar to the Nokia 6 with the long rear camera module and vertical Nokia logo. Talking about the other two Nokia Android smartphones, the Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 are said to feature 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU.

The Nokia 6 which is already launched in China sports a 2.5D 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and comes with Gorilla Glass protection. The device includes 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. On the camera front, there is a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera. It comes with an all-metal body and sports a physical home button on the front that comes integrated with a fingerprint sensor. Take all these details with of salt as they come from unofficial sources. The company will be holding its MWC press conference on February 26th where all the new Nokia smartphones and feature phones will be unveiled. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
