Smartphones have evolved a lot over time both in terms of hardware and functionalities. Back in the days, the transition of smartphone from dual-core to a quad-core chip was a huge deal for most people. And here we are in 2017, expecting smartphones to be unveiled with a deca-core chip. MediaTek announced their new Helio X30 chip a couple of months back and now the first smartphone to be powered by that behemoth of a chip is going to be the Apollo 2 from Vernee. And not just that, it looks like it will also have 8GB of RAM to go with that madness.
According to Vernee’s website, where a teaser image if the Apollo 2 can be found, it is mentioned that the smartphone will have the world’s first MediaTek x30 Chip which has 10-cores inside powering the smartphone. If it an overkill or not is something to be discussed later, but it is also mentioned that there will be two variants of the smartphone. One will have 6GB RAM along with 64GB of internal storage and the other one will have 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage to go with it. Yes, now it totally looks like an overkill.
The other hardware details like the display size, camera resolution, etc. are yet to be revealed, but we are hoping them to be top notch as well. There is no info about the pricing as well at this point in time. However, we don’t have to wait for a long time to know more about the details since the smartphone is going to be unveiled in a couple of weeks at Mobile World Congress 2017. We expect this smartphone to have top notch specs in all department since the Vernee Apollo which was launched earlier also had some really good specs.
The Vernee Apollo featured a 5.5-inch QHD display on the front along with a 21MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Hence judging by the specs here, we can expect the Vernee Apollo 2 to be a worthy flagship smartphone. If you don’t want this kind of insane specs in a smartphone, then Vernee has got you covered there as well, as the company is also announcing a couple of other devices as well along with the Apollo 2. It looks like we will see Mars Pro which is expected to sport ‘ultra-thin bezels’. It will be powered by an Helio p25 octa-core processor along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Apart from them, we will also see Thor E and Thor Plus from Vernee. Stay tuned for more info on this.
