Earlier this year, we have seen 4G LTE and Wi-Fi enabled feature phones in India. After Reliance Jio unveiled the 4G VoLTE supported JioPhone, few other Indian telecom operators also hinted about their own feature phone with advanced features. Even with all these advancements, Nokia under HMD Global seems to continue with the old fashioned feature phones which still hold on to a respectable market share in the Indian mobile phone market. last month, the company announced two new feature phones named Nokia 105 (2017) and Nokia 130 (2017) in India.
The Nokia 105 (2017) is priced at Rs. 999 and is already on sale. Today, the company launched the Nokia 130 (2017) feature phone for Rs. 1,599 and is sold through offline retail stores across the country. It is the successor to the original Nokia 130 launched in 2014. The Nokia 130 (2017) comes with dual SIM support and will be available in Red, Grey, and Black color options. It sports a 1.8-inch QVGA color display and runs on the proprietary Series 30+ OS. There is just 4MB of RAM and 8MB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card slot.
The Nokia 130 (2017) also comes with a VGA camera on the rear along with the built-in music player. It comes with the thick polycarbonate shell with rounded edges. Along with the camera, the loud speaker is also placed on the rear of the device. The LED Torchlight, 3.5mm audio jack, and the MicroUSB 2.0 port can be found on the top edge of this feature phone. It is backed by a 1,020mAh removable battery that is rated to give up to 44 hours of music playback with a headset and lasts up to a month on standby.
The dimensions of the Nokia 130 (2017) feature phone are 111.5 x 48.4 x 14.2 mm. The popular Snake Xenzia is also offered with the device.
