New HTC device spotted running on Helio P35 SoC and 6GB of RAM on Geekbench
HTC has been struggling to be in the tech industry when it comes to smartphones. Late last year, HTC has announced its smartphone strategy for 2019, suggesting its focus on the flagship and mid-range smartphones. The announcement also included extending its current HTC U12+ and the U12 series smartphones as well. It appears HTC has started making new smartphones as an unknown model had surfaced online suggesting the launch is imminent.
A new HTC device bearing HTC 2Q741 model number has been spotted on the Geekbench score, wherein it scored an 897 for the single-core score and 4385 for the multi-score. The new HTC device can also be seen running on Google’s latest Android 9 operating system. The Geekbench score had also revealed the upcoming HTC smartphone equipped with MediaTek Hello P35 MT6765 SoC and followed by 6GB of RAM as well.
The Helio P35 SoC is built on a 12nm FinFET process and is an octa-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2.3GHz. It can support displays of up to Full HD+ resolution along with aspect ratio of up 20:9. The chipset further allows up to a 13MP+13MP dual rear cameras with significant bokeh effects as well. And, the chipset also supports a single camera on the front for up to 25MP sensors that support bokeh effects as well.
Apart from the leaked model number and the MediaTek processor, there isn’t much information about the upcoming HTC device. However, based on the Helio P35 SoC, it isn’t hard to guess that the new HTC device is catered to the mid-range segment.
