Coming to the specifications of the new Moto G (2015), it sports the same 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display as on the Moto G (2014). It comes powered by Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along. As mentioned earlier, it will be available in two storage options – 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage and the other with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

There will be a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. The battery capacity is increased to 2,470mAh which can easily last for a single day under moderate usage and comes with 4G LTE support. It measures 142.1 x 72.4 x 11.6 mm and weighs 155 grams.

Motorola had launched two well performing devices last year, namely the Moto X 2nd gen, and the Moto G 2nd gen. The mid-range smartphone, i.e. Moto G 2014 had a processing power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset, and the phone came with a 5-inch 720p display.

Connectivity on the device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. There is a silver strip on the back, that houses the camera, flash and the Motorola dimple. It is a textured panel that we see on the back, and it seems to be less curvy than the last year’s Moto G.

While the Moto X (3rd gen) is expected to be a flagship power house, the Moto G has packed with enough specs to compete with the big list of devices in its price range, and with most of them offering value for money, Motorola has priced at sub $200 range.
