The launch date is set for September 19th, which is right around the corner. The same was confirmed by the Ken Wong, President, Lenovo APAC. It will be interesting to see how these devices are received in the market this time around.

In case if you didn’t know, the Moto E comes with a Mediatek SoC with quad-core 1.0GHz processor. It has a 5-inch display on the front and packs 1GB of RAM. The device also comes with 8GB of internal storage and packs a 2,800 mAh battery inside. Well, another variant of the Moto E was also spotted online a couple of days ago. It packs a bigger 3,500 mAh battery inside and comes with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage and it is expandable upto 128GB via a microSD card as well.

This variant is called the Moto E-Power. It is expected that the company will be launching both the variants in India. However, it is not confirmed as of now, so we just have to wait and see what happens. Stay tuned for more info on this as we will update once it is launched officially.

Earlier: Earlier when Motorola was with Google, the brand saw quite a limited amount of product launches. But since it has been sold to Lenovo, the Chinese company is being quite aggressive with the Moto product launches as now and then, a new Moto branded handset pops up online. The new Moto E3 Power is one such handset that came into highlight when it went on sale in Hong Kong at HKD 1098, which is approximate $141.59.

Talking about the design and specifications, the device listed with model number XT1706 sports similar specs except for one thing. That is, battery capacity. The vanilla E3 handset had 2390 mAh capacity battery, but as the name suggests, the E3 Power bumps up to 3500 mAh. Additionally, it supports quick charging only with proprietary 10W quick charger.

Other specifications are exactly the same as well as the design language seems to be the same too. Meaning, if the size of the device is not increased, then it packs a high-density battery, which is fitted in the same place as vanilla E3 model. That is quite interesting.
