Meizu M6 Note Confirmed to Launch on August 23rd, to Feature Helio P25 SoC & 4GB RAM

Meizu has posted the teaser images on Weibo confirming the launch of Meizu M6 Note smartphone on August 23rd in China. Apart from the teaser images, there is no other official information about the device. The Chinese text on the teaser image translates to “Can you make your phone faster?” and has “Stay True” mentioned in English. Though there is no official confirmation, the device is said to be powered by the 64-bit MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor that comes with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and another four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz.
It also packs Mali-T880 MP2 GPU to offer a blazing-fast performance. A few rumors also suggest the M6 Note to cost around 1500 Yuan. The device should be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based Flyme OS out of the box. As seen with the Meizu M5 Note, the M6 Note will also feature a metal body. Earlier: Aug 7th, 2017 – Last month, Meizu launched the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus flagship smartphone with rear facing secondary display. Instead of the rumored Exynos 8895 processor, both the devices are powered by MediaTek Helio processors. Now, the new leaks revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Meizu M6 Note smartphone. Apart from the technical details, we don’t know how the device looks. It is also leaked to cost 1599 Yuan which converts to $240 or Rs 15,000.
The device is mentioned to feature 5.5-inch IPS display offering Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is said to be powered by the 64-bit MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757T) octa-core processor clocked at 2.6GHz and comes coupled with Mali T880 GPU. It is said to come in two different variants with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants offering 32GB and 64GB storage options. In terms of camera optics, the M6 Note features a 13MP sensor on the rear. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that should give decent battery life.
It will support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity.As per the leaks, the Meizu M6 Note will be launched next month in China. There will also be a fingerprint sensor that might support mobile payments via AliPay and WeChat. The M5 Note launched in December 2016 came with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. In the camera department, the M5 Note offers a 13MP sensor on the rear and a 5MP sensor on the front.
The M5 Note came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. While Meizu is mainly focused on the online sales in China and other markets, the company has to face stiff competition from bigger brands like Xiaomi and Huawei. Even the offline focused Vivo and OPPO are offering better hardware at competitive pricing. In India, both Vivo and OPPO has launched a couple of online exclusive smartphone in 2017. The recently launched Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus smartphones are rumored to soon launch in Europe. The Twitter handles of Meizu Spain and Meizu France have been teasing the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus smartphones.
