In the last two weeks, Meizu had launched two new smartphones Meizu M3 Note and Meizu Pro 6. Now a new entry-level device called Meizu M3 is spotted on TENAA; it is the successor to the Meizu M2 that was launched last year in China and India. Though we expected the device to be launched alongside Meizu M3 Note, somehow the company has decided to launch it separately.
The device sports a polycarbonate body with non-removable back cover. It features a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It is powered by an unknown octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto 128GB via MicroSD card slot. Unlike the other two recently launched devices, the Meizu M3 runs on Alibaba’s Yun OS 3.1.6.
In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with led flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The device supports dual SIM with the help of hybrid SIM slot. It is backed by a 2,800mAh battery which is almost same as the Meizu Pro 6 battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
The device measures 141.5 x 69.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs around 131 grams. It has the mBack home button, but we aren’t expecting the device to feature the mTouch fingerprint sensor. Since the M3 Note that comes with much superior specifications is priced at just 799 Yuan, we assume the Meizu M3 to cost only 599 Yuan. Like the Meizu M2, the M3 will also be available in several color options including White, Blue, Gray, Pink and Gold.
We expect the M3 Note along with M3 to be launched in India soon. Though there is no exact information, we guess the devices to be launched at an event scheduled in India on April 16th. Stay tuned for more information!
