Meizu E2 “The Last Knight” Edition with 5.5″ Display & MediaTek P20 SoC announced

As we have reported earlier, Meizu has now officially announced the new Meizu E2 The Last Knight edition smartphone. The same has been spotted on the company’s official website, where they have listed the smartphone now. As you can see from the listing, the smartphone is priced at 1,799 Yuan which roughly translates to about 17,000 INR.

This limited Transformers edition marks the launch of the new Transformers movie and the smartphone goes on sale on June 7th at 10 A.M. Since it is a special edition unit, it will come with customized animation, themes, ringtones, wallpapers, etc. As far as the specs are concerned, we have a 5.5″ 1080p display on the front. It is powered by the MediaTeK P20 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Earlier – A couple of weeks back, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu had launched the second smartphone in its E-series of smartphones, called the Meizu E2. It comes with a metal unibody design and features a 5.5″ FHD display. The device looks beautiful and it was also packed with good internals. However, according to the new reports which we have, the company is planning on launching a new version of the smartphone and this is going to be a special edition variant.

Meizu is gearing up to launch a special edition of the E2 smartphone called the “The Last Knight Edition”. This is going to be a special Transformers edition smartphone as the last part of the Transformers movie is about to release next month. The movie is also called the “Transformers – The Last Knight” and hence the name here for the smartphone. But what’s more interesting about this smartphone is its internal specs. Unlike the regular variant, this new special edition will be powered by an Exynos processor.

Yes, recently Meizu and Samsung had some kind of a meeting and ever since then it was expected that Meizu might launch a smartphone with an Exynos SoC. And here we are with the new E2 Transformers Edition. This smartphone will be powered by an Exynos 7872 SoC which is a fairly new SoC by Samsung. It is built on the 14nm process has two ARM Cortex-A73 and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores. And it also has T830 MP2 GPU for graphics processing. Obviously, this alone might attract a lot of eyes and it looks like many will end up buying this smartphone.

Talking about the other specs, it looks like it will sport the same 5.5″ FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. There will be two variants i.e. with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB of internal storage. At the back, we will be seeing a 13MP camera and on the front, an 8MP selfie shooter. And the whole package will be kept powered by a 3,400 mAh battery.
