The Indian smartphone company, LYF brand has been launched the many low-cost handsets with decent specifications. Recently, the company has launched the LYF water 9 smartphone and is priced at 8,699 INR. Also, the company has introduced the new smartphone called as LYF F1 special Edition smartphone and is priced at Rs. 13,099. On the same lines, the company has launched the LYF F8 smartphone which is silently listed on the official page with a price tag of 4,199 INR. The LYF F8 smartphone is an upgraded version of LYF Flame 8 smartphone. It comes with a compact build designed frame with an Asahi glass coating which makes it a stylish gadget to flaunt. By using Gesture Control on this handset, you can control to launch camera, music player and access applications from the locked screen. It also supports USB OTG (on-the-go) which you can transfer your files from a pen drive such as photos, movies and music files.

Now talking about the specifications, the LYF F8 smartphone has similar specifications of Flame 8 smartphone, but the only difference is the front camera. It sports a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution that offers a pixel density of 218PPI and 16M colors. Under the hood, it comes equipped with a Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor that is clocking at a speed of 1.3GHz paired with Adreno 304 Graphics. On the storage, it houses an 8GB of internal storage which can further be expanded via microSD card slot up to 128GB and coupled with 1GB of RAM. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE which carries a network speeds up to 150Mbps of downlink and 50Mbps of uplink. Powering the entire smartphone is the 2000mAh capacity battery that is rated to deliver up to 8 hours, lasts a standby time up to 160 hours, HD video playback up to 5 hours and Audio playback up to 28 hours.

Regarding the camera, it packs an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera while on Flame 8 has 5MP secondary camera. The rear camera can record videos up to 720p at 30 frames per second, and the other camera features include Red Eye Reduction, Continuous Auto Focus, Smile Detection, Gaze Detection, Blink Detection and Panorama. It is measured by 132.6 x 66.2 x 9.3 mm in dimensions and is weighing around 138 grams.

    Looks good for a basic 4G supporting smartphone but I doubt if anyone is interested in buying Lyf phones anymore
