LG X Power with 5.3″ HD Display & 4100mAh Battery Launched at Rs. 15,990

LG unveiled the new X series smartphones at the MWC 2016 in February this year. The South Korean giant, LG had launched the LG X Power smartphone in the U.S by Sprint and Boost Mobile in the month of September this Year. It priced at $130 without a contract from Boost Mobile while selected users can get $0 down payment from Sprint. This company has launched few handsets which are under X-Series named as LG X Screen and X Cam which were made available in the Indian market. Now, this brand has launched the LG X Power smartphone in India with a price tag of 15,990 INR. Commenting on launch Amit Gujral, Marketing Head- LG Mobiles, said “We are relentless in our pursuit to ensure that all our products enable peoples’ life to become easier, efficient and help them work smarter. Today in India, we all are witnessing the 4G LTE evolution at a very fast pace and this technology brings the excessive use of videos, music, streaming, etc., which are battery consumption intensive features.”

The device sports a 5.3-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. This is also first MediaTek powered smartphone to be offered by one of the major U.S carriers. While the other variant of LG X Power offered by Cricket Wireless comes with Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor.

It includes 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded upto 128GB with the MicroSD card slot. The LG X Power runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the UX UI laid on top. Talking about the cameras, the LG X Power sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. As the name suggests, the USP of the device is its 4,100mAh non-removable battery. The LG X Cam and X Screen are two other popular devices in the new X series. The LG X Screen comes with a secondary display same as on the LG V10 and LG V20 smartphones. It packs a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, same as on X Power. The X Screen has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It is backed by a 2,300mAh battery which might not last more than a day of usage.

On the other hand, the LG X Cam comes with the dual rear camera and a 5.2-inch Full HD display. Apart from the slightly better battery and 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras, rest of the specifications remains same as on LG X Screen. The LG X Power smartphone is available in Black and Gold color variants and is priced at Rs. 15,990. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
