LG Watch W7 Hybrid Smartwatch with Mechanical Hands Launched for $450

Alongside the LG V4o ThinQ smartphone which came with 5 cameras, LG also released a new smartwatch called LG Watch W7. The LG Watch W7 is said to be the company’s first hybrid smartwatch which features smart functionalities and also sports mechanical hands. The company is said to have partnered with Soprod SA of Switzerland for the high-precision quartz movement and physical watch hands.
The LG Watch W7 comes with a stainless steel body and is compatible with standard 22mm watch bands. It runs on the new Wear OS by Google which is an upgrade to the Android Wear platform. Coming to the battery life, the mechanical watch-only mode with its smart features disabled can give up to 100 days of battery life. In full operation mode, the LG Watch W7 lasts up to two days on a single charge.
Apart from showing accurate time, the mechanical watch hands are also used for displaying altimeter, barometer, stopwatch, timer and compass directions. It is also water and dust resistance, thanks to the IP68 certification. On the right side, we can find the rotatable crown along with two physical buttons. The LG Watch W7 sports a 1.2-inch LCD display with 360 by 360 pixels resolution.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 Platform and includes 768MB of LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB of eMMC storage. The LG Watch W7 comes with a price tag of $450 and will be available in Cloud Silver color. The pre-orders beings on October 7th and will be on sale starting October 14th.
