LG Stylus 2 Plus with 1080p Display, 16MP Camera & 3GB RAM gets Official Price Drop

Today LG India has made an official price drop on the LG Style 2 Plus Smartphone of Rs 2,000. The phone that was earlier selling at Rs 23,990 will not be retailing at Rs 21,990 in the online and offline markets. In other news from LG, the officials have also confirmed that they would be launching the LG V20 Smartphone in India in the coming weeks.

LG has launched the LG Stylus 2, Stylus 2 Plus, and K8 smartphones today in Taiwan. While the Stylus 2 and K8 are already available in the other markets, the Stylus 2 Plus is showcased for the first time. The device comes with the same design as Stylus 2 but as the improved can be found in the specifications. While the 5.7-inch display on Stylus 2 is limited to HD resolution, the Stylus 2 Plus comes with Full HD display.

The LG Stylus 2 comes powered by years old Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset, but the Stylus 2 Plus includes the latest Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded technically upto 2TB. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with customized UX UI laid on top.

Coming to the camera department, the 13MP rear sensor is replaced with 16MP camera while the 8MP front camera remains same. The device is kept powered on by a 3,000mAh battery that might give at least a day of usage. Connectivity options include Cat.4  LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures the same 155 x 79.6 x 7.4 mm as Stylus 2 and weighs 146 grams.

The device comes pre-installed with several Stylus related apps like Pop Memo, Pop Scanner, Capture+, and Pen Keeper. In India, the company offered the LG Quick Cover for free along with Stylus 2. It comes with several features like displaying notifications, caller ID, music playback controls and few others. Just like the other LG devices, the power button and volume rocker are placed on the rear of the device.

Earlier this week, LG had launched the Stylus 2 in India priced at Rs. 19,500. In Taiwan, the Stylus 2 is priced at 7,990 TWD (approx Rs. 16,500) while the Stylus 2 Plus costs 10,900 TWD (approx Rs. 22,500). The Stylus 2 Plus will be available starting from late June and comes in Black, Gold, and Brown color options. There is no information about the availability of the LG Stylus 2 Plus in other markets.
