LG G4 Beat

Following the same pattern as last year, when LG launched G3 Beat, the company has now officially took the curtains off the G4 Beat, their new mid-range smartphone. This new device has been in a rumor mill for quite a time and was supposed to come with a name, G4 S. It reminisces the look and feel of the Korean giant’s latest flagship of this year.

The G4 Beat packs Snapdragon 615 processor, which is an Octa-Core processor and is coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB if internal storage. The handset packs the 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) IPS display and boots on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 based LG UX 4.0.

While it is surprising that the rear camera on G4 Beat would be region specific, in most regions, it will pack an 8MP camera and would be accompanied by a Color Spectrum Sensor and Laser Autofocus. Whereas, select regions in Latin America markets would be getting a 13M rear shooter on this handset, although the front facing camera would be of 5MP in all regions, sporting a Gesture Interval Shot.

Talking about the connectivity part, it will support 4G LTE along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS. The device measures 9.85mm thick and is powered by a 2300mAh capacity battery, which is going to be removable.
The G4 beat is said to hit the shelves across Europe and Latin America first, and would have color choices of, Metallic Silver, Ceramic White, and Shiny Gold. It would later follow by countries like Canada, India Russia, Singapore, Turkey, South Africa and other markets.

Currently, there is no word on the pricing yet, but you can expect that to reveal pretty soon. If you’re in India and are looking for an LG handset, then company recently launched a new handset in the country named, LG G4 Stylus.
