Earlier, Lenovo announced that it would be launching the Z2 Plus smartphone in India soon and fulfilling its promise it has sent out invites for the launch of this device on 22nd of September which just a few days ahead. The Z2 Plus was initially launched as Zuk Z2 in the month of May, and the name has been changed now. Recently Lenovo launched three entry level devices in India dubbed as A6600, A6600 Plus and A7700.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus comes with a 5-inch IPS capacitive touch screen with FHD resolution and also comes with LTPS 2.5D curved glass display. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-core processor with a clocking speed of 2.15 GHz coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4 GB of RAM. The device will come out of the box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we can also expect the further updates looking at its specifications.

On the camera front, the Z2 Plus has a 13MP camera on the rear with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture with ISOCELL sensor and 5P lens. There is also an 8 MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture and 78.9-degree wide viewing angle, and sadly there isn’t a front flash. The handset supports dual SIM and has connectivity options like VoLTE, WiFI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB type C GPS and Bluetooth v4.1.

Lenovo has also pushed in the fingerprint scanner on the device to enhance the security. There is a 3500 mAH battery on the back to power the device and also supports Quick charging 3.0. The Z2 Plus measures 8.45mm and weighs 149 grams. So are you going to get this device? Nothing is known about the pricing yet, so we have to wait till 22nd of September.
