Lenovo, the Chinese tech giant is on a spree to launch handsets this season, as company has introduced another mid-range smartphone, but this time in their home country, China. After introducing their latest Killer handset, K4 Note, which is known as Vibe S1 Lite in China and other regions it is the successor to the most selling handset, K3 Note in India. The new handset, Lemon 3 is more affordable mid-range handset priced at 699 Yuan, i.e. approximately $106 or Rs 7000. We only hope that it replaces A6000 Plus in the Indian smartphone market in coming months.
The Lenovo Lemon 3 is listed on company’s online store in China, sporting a stylish look; it is available in two color variants, Silver, and Gold. Sporting a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, which accounts for a pixel density of 441 PPI (Pixel Per Inch). It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, which is an Octa-core processor clocking at 1.5GHz. Accompanying the processor is Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card slot.
It is running on the Android Lollipop 5.1 version, but on top of it would be Lenovo’s custom interface, which should be similar to other handsets in the mid range. In the camera department, it has 13-megapixel image sensor on the rear while the 5-megapixel camera module on the front. Meanwhile, the audio output is powered by Maxx Audio, which should offer better audio experience.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM Dual Standby support for 4G LTE networks while another set of features includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 options. Measure at 7.99mm thickness and weighs around 142 grams, it is quite an interesting handset compared to others in the price range, beating affordable handsets from the likes of Motorola (Moto G), which is now a Lenovo company.
The brand offers a 2750mAh capacity battery on their Lemon 3 handset, which according to them should give up to 15 days of standby time on 4G network. The 32 hours of talk time is expected on a 2G network while 12 hours of audio playback and around 6 hours of video playback are expected from this new handset launched in China.
