Update – The Lenovo K4 Note will be officially unveiled at an event scheduled on January 5th in New Delhi, India. While the company had already confirmed the device to sport 3GB of RAM, today it also teased the device to feature a fingerprint sensor and an NFC chip. While we expect the recently launched Vibe X3 Lite to be launched as K4 Note, there are few rumors that the device might be powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor.

There will be 32GB of built-in storage along with a MicroSD card slot. On the camera part, it is expected to feature a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. From the tweeted image, we can see the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. The Vibe X3 Lite also has the sane kind of placement. Apart from the RAM and fingerprint sensor, nothing is officially confirmed so take this with a pinch of salt.

Earlier: Dec 23, 2015 – Lenovo is teasing the launch of a new smartphone from few days with a hashtag #KILLERNOTE2016. A couple of days back, it had also confirmed the device to sport 3GB of RAM and few rumors also suggest the device to feature a fingerprint sensor. We expect the device to launch is the Lenovo K4 Note, which will be the successor for the most popular K3 Note that was launched as the most affordable smartphone with a 1080p display.

But what’s more, interesting is that what Lenovo has teased in India also seems like the Vibe X3 Lite. Although, the image teased with caption “Prepare for the dawn of the new #KillerNote”. It must mean that the Chinese manufacturer is planning to upgrade its K3 Note handset. If that’s true, then this new handset might be called K3 Note Plus, as in the line of A6000 Plus. Or it may be called K4 Note looking at the complete design change.

The K4 Note would supposedly come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display amounting for a pixel density of 401 PPI. Powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor, which is an Octa-core chipset clocking at 1.3GHz. Coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, it would be running on the Android Lollipop 5.1 version with company’s custom interface.

The camera package includes 13-megapixel image sensor with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel image sensor. It might also be coming up with a Fingerprint scanner. The connectivity options include 4G network support, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB, and Bluetooth. All this would be powered by a 3300mAh capacity battery.

Not much can be confirmed in terms of name and whether when this handset would be launched in the country, but we are sure that it would create waves like K3 Note did and it is currently the highest selling phone by the company. Let’s hope the company keeps the pricing competitive just like its other handsets.
