After its entry in the U.S with a mega launch event, LeEco has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The company is currently facing financial crisis as they expanded broadly into various segments to bring ecosystem of products. Interestingly, the news from China suggests the bump in the sales of LeEco smartphones and Super TVs even in the adverse conditions. Now a new LeEco smartphone with the model number LEX920 is leaked in live images revealing the complete design of the device. In the second half of 2016, we have seen only the launch of Le Pro 3 smartphone, and we expect the company to launch the new LEX920 before the Christmas season in China.

The company is long rumored to launch the dual camera smartphone. A few months back, we also covered about the TENAA listing of the LEX652 smartphone, but the device is yet to made official. Just last month, one more smartphone with the model number LEX850 is certified with the same dual-camera setup. Unlike the other two devices, the LEX920 lacks the dual camera setup but is said to feature a 22.5MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and laser autofocus. Recently launched Xiaomi Mi Note 2 also came with 22.5MP Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. However, the device is yet to be certified by the TENAA.

It comes with a metal body sporting the power button and volume rocker onto the right of the device. The LEX920 sports a huge 6.3-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. LeEco Le Max, the company’s first ever phablet launched in 2015 also came with the same 6.33-inch display with Quad HD resolution. While the Le Max2 launched this year featured a smaller 5.7-inch but with the same resolution. The LEC920 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC while the recently launched Le Pro 3 came with the latest Snapdragon 821 SoC. It also includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As seen with the previously launched LeEco smartphones, we aren’t expecting LEX920 to feature MicroSD card slot.

It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the completely customized EUI laid on top. From the image, we can see the 8MP front facing camera is also accompanied with LED flash. The fingerprint sensor with mirror finish can be found right below the rear camera module. With all these powerful specifications, the device is kept powered on by a 3,400mAh battery. With the LeEco’s CDLA technology, the LEX920 lacks the 3.5mm audio port. It is rumored to be priced at just 1388 Yuan (approx $200 / Rs. 13,500) Since there is no official information about this device, we can’t confirm these specifications to be completely legitimate.

Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about this device in the coming days. Tomorrow, Coolpad in collaboration LeEco will be launching the Snapdragon 821 powered Cool S1 smartphone in China. Though it is a Coolpad device, it runs on LeEco’s EUI and includes all the LeEco’s exclusive content. In January 2017, the Cool series smartphones will debut here in the Indian market.
