In the first half of 2016, LeEco launched the Le Max 2 smartphone as the successor to last year’s Le Max. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and is available in two variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. The company had confirmed to launch a new smartphone in China on September 21st. The rumors suggest the company to unveil Le Pro 3 smartphone with a whopping 8GB of RAM, but instead we are expecting the company to unveil the Le X652 with dual camera setup and a new flagship Le X720 powered by the latest Snapdragon 821 SoC.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the first smartphone to launch with the new Snapdragon 821 SoC which is said to offer 10% better performance than the Snapdragon 820 SoC. While the Le X652 smartphone specifications are already confirmed by TENAA listing, the Le X720 is now listed on Geekbench with codename LeMobile Nubility. Antutu already revealed the device to come with Full HD display and Snapdragon 821 processor. It sports 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies.
Just like Le Max 2, the Le X720 will be launched in two variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, whereas the Antutu listing showed only the 4GB RAM variant with 32GB of storage. The Le X720 with 4GB RAM scored 1829 and 4401 on Geekbench’s single core and multi core tests respectively. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM variant performed slightly better by scoring 1854 on the single core and 4459 on multi core tests. The recently leaked image showed the device to sport similar design as Le Max 2 and Le 2 smartphones and comes with brushed finish Aluminum body.
The teaser images also confirmed the device to come with a bigger battery, slimmer body and will use the in-house CDLA technology instead of 3.5mm audio port. It will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based highly customized eUI. The device was also spotted on 3C certification site which confirmed the Quick Charge 3.0 support. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for the official details of the device as the launch event is scheduled for tomorrow.
