Nokia is expected to make a come back to the smartphones industry next year, and the first smartphone which the company is planning to launch is expected to be the Nokia D1C smartphone. This is going to be the company’s first Android smartphone ever, and we are excited to see what they have to offer us. Previously the company had launched an Android Tablet called the Nokia N1. Not much info is available about this alleged new smartphone from Nokia, but now we do have some leaked images of the device which might give you a look at the smartphone.

Yes, the fresh images which have surfaced online now show the device in its full glory. This might not be the best look at the device as of now, but indeed it is a good thing that we have these images since it pretty much the existence of a smartphone from Nokia. Well now, let’s take a look at the renders and try to know more about it. A gold variant of the smartphone has been leaked here in the renders, but it is expected that the device will be launched in Gold, White and Black color options.

On the front, there is a display which is expected to be a 2k display along with home button underneath which there is a fingerprint scanner. It has been reported that only the gold color variant will come with the fingerprint scanner and other will just come with capacitive buttons. On the top, there is nothing but a 3.5mm headphone jack and at the bottom rests the micro USB port and speakers. At the back of the device, we have a camera sensor along with the company branding. On one side, we have the buttons and on the other side, we have the SIM card slot. And that is pretty much what we could derive from the renders. When you talk about the design here, one thing to note is the fact that the device has a rectangular shape.

The smartphone design appears to be inspired by the Lumia smartphones from the past as most of them were also rectangular in shape. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing to report about the device but there is nothing new here and that is indeed bothering. But we just hope that these devices will be better in comparison to the Lumia smartphones, both in performance, looks, etc. And talking about performance, some of the previous about the device suggests that the Nokia D1C will come with 2k display and it will be powered by a snapdragon 820/ snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM.

We may be seeing a 13MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie shooter. However, do make a note here that none of this info is confirmed and hence we suggest you to take them with a pinch of salt. We hope that the company will be launching a couple of smartphones at MWC 2017. Stay tuned for more info on that as we will update once we have more details on the same.
